   Porta Service uses a method of cleaning that incorporates a system of hot, high-pressure water, and detergents, instead of using a riding scrubber and fire hoses to clean and flood the surfaces. A riding scrubber just smears the dirt, oil and salt around and into the surface. A fire hose wash down will not lift all of this contamination off of the surface. Hot, high-pressure water used with the proper detergents penetrates the contamination and lifts it out of the surface. At 10-12 gallons per minute over a longer period of time, the amount of water used to dissolve the salt is the same as using a fire hose for a shorter time. A more detailed cleaning is accomplished from corner to corner and better control of the water is possible around water sensitive areas. Also, the cleaning of some walls can be accomplished when needed. Our method does a better job of meeting the objectives of the cleaning.

   First, Porta Service pre-sweeps the floors as needed, then individually pre-treats each oil spot with a degreaser (optional based upon objectives and budget). We then cover the drains with a filter pad to prevent excess oil and mud from entering and clogging the drains. Next we use hot, high-pressure water, and necessary detergents to clean the floor and any splashes on the walls. After that, we clean around each drain with an engine driven wet-vac to collect the mud and any other debris we have prevented from going down and possibly clogging the drain. Lastly, we complete the final clean up and haul all mud and debris offsite to be disposed of.
